After getting some abuse for not listening to what I was told, I've finally got my head around what's happening, and I must say the staff aren't bad, really

Ridiculous! If you are on a regular prescription, instead of doing the obvious thing and having it ready for when you arrive, they leave you there waiting for sometimes 40 minutes. In fact it is discrimination. They serve all the other customers forst, and leave peoples who are on a refular script until last. Common sense would say that regular patients will arrive daily -its not a shock that the patient is going to walk in, so get the scripts prepared before hand, dont keep customers waiting for 40 mins! All you have to do is hand it to them not ignore their presence altogether. Additional note:(This review was Written on behalf of my partner, I go to another pharmacy who never make me wait more than 30 seconds for my prescription, if it was me I would change chemists, but he is too polite to say anything )

The prescription and dispensing service are way below acceptable customer service standards. Maybe due to the fact that they outsource the prescription items.

Staff do their best when not chatting amongst themselves (is there a manager there?)

Be prepared for short queue but long wait times while staff forage around the mass of prescription bags, then have to deal with customers who have ordered 'days ago'.

Time to start looking elsewhere I think.

4 people behind the counter: one serving a couple and the assistant was struggling to find their prescription. After 23 minutes , and two people leaving the store a second assistant asked who was next. The lady in the queue in front of me ‘heather’ said service was always the same here. The staff were huddled together laughing and joking and seemed to be just watching the queue.
After 35 minutes (I was third in the queue) I was attended to. I asked for honey or silver dressings assistant said she had both. She disappeared to get them. After 7 minutes she reappeared saying they only had silver: I couldnt understand why it had taken so long to take a box off a shelf- and then she changed her mind about having the honey dressings: no apology we only have silver. As she entered the item into the till she said to her colleague ‘we’ve only taken £400 today they’ll be thinking we’ve done nothing and we’ve been so busy’ I had to count to ten to stop myself from laughing. When I left the shop my one hour slot in the disabled bay had expired - I had wanted to pop into a different shop to buy birthday card! I was livid that making a simple purchase had taken so long. Customers seem to be the least of that shops concern.
When I got home it became apparent that I needed microporous tape to attach dressing ! I had asked the assistant if I needed anything and she said no they just stick on. So I had to make a trip to a different store.
What a waste of space and inefficient team at Rowlands Pharmacy in Cleckheaton. absolutely shocking customer service and no helpful advice - I won’t go back
